JAN 2022

ANTIGRAVITY HIATUS  (online only)

Happy You season, Capricorn! Though usually celebrated for your tenacity, ambition, and follow-through, Capricorns are represented by a sea goat for a reason—you also possess an underlying (sometimes neglected) emotional depth and capacity for love that is perhaps only paralleled by your sister sign Cancer. The full moon in Cancer on the 17th will probably throw you for a loop if you've been neglecting emotional healing, but is also an opportunity for catharsis. Use it wisely to release patterns of self-sabotage. For most of the month Venus will continue to retrograde in your 1st house, marking an opportunity to reflect on the ways your individual motives and ideals affect how  you give and receive love in all of its forms.

High vibration Capricorn energy will move heaven and earth to protect the ones they love and to be of service to their community, and the internal lessons we collectively learn this season will hopefully inspire us all to be compassionate while we hold ourselves and others accountable. The arrival of cold and electric Aquarius season on the 19th will perhaps wake up those of us who have struggled to find ground this month, particularly once Venus turns direct near the end of the month.

DEC 2021

Happy Sagittarius season! This sign is known for its wisdom, authenticity, and adventurous nature. They are capable of reaching incredible intellectual, material, and spiritual heights due to their adaptable, passionate energy and excellent sense of humor. After what was probably a pretty intense Scorpio season, Sagittarius season is bound to feel a bit more lively and optimistic, though mid-month these good vibes might start to feel clouded by Venus retrograde in Capricorn, which will highlight our awareness of our material obligations and limitations and how they intersect with our relationships. On the 21st we will witness the winter solstice—which is the shortest day of the year and marks the beginning of Capricorn season. The solstice also marks the beginning of the days getting longer and thus is associated with rebirth and regeneration. If, like the centaur, you put in work to integrate your higher mind and your animal nature, both the solstice and the full moon in Gemini on the 19th will offer opportunities to embrace optimism and spontaneity from a place of clarity and trust. (Check both your sun and rising—both factor in the placements of your transits. You can calculate your rising sign at astro-charts.com using your birth time.)

ARIES

Fellow fire sign Sagittarius can offer your more aggressive nature lessons in temperance and versatility. Aries can be a bit hot-headed or reactive, whereas Sagittarius is more able to look at things objectively before making big decisions. Your ruling planet Mars will aspect both Pluto and Jupiter near the beginning of the month, signalling deep realizations and new insights both personally and societally. On December 13th Mars will enter Sagittarius and you might feel particularly invigorated to not only do what you aim to, but to do it in ways that are well thought out and in the best interests of both you and your community. The sun's movement into fellow cardinal sign Capricorn on the 21st is a great time to harness your fire and move the Earth with conviction.

TAURUS

As the sun transits your 8th house you might be feeling particularly self-protective, introspective, and (due to the feisty but fair influence of Sagittarius) generally be taking no shit. This influence is compounded by the start of your ruling planet Venus’ retrograde in fellow earth sign Capricorn and two conjunctions with Pluto occuring on December 11th and 25th. This month you are being asked to honestly examine your relationship patterns, the aspects of your feminine side that need healing, and the subconscious patterns that might keep you from being your authentic self. If you put in the work to grow internally, the sun's movement into Capricorn on the 21st will offer new avenues toward inner and outer freedom.

GEMINI

Sagittarius is your sister sign and thus this month you might feel particularly energized and inspired. After six months of personal development and internal focus, the sun's transit into your 7th house signals a transition to a focus on relationships and the external world. What do you truly know and believe, and how can these convictions serve you and your community? The new moon in Sagittarius on the 4th will ask you to release thought patterns that result in unclear communication. If you are able to stick to your word, the full moon in Gemini on the 19th will reward you with positive communal experiences and lots of opportunities to play!

CANCER

This month the sun will transit your 6th house of health and service to others. Your giving and nurturing nature can be a huge strength, but it can also sometimes be a liability, and Sagittarius season is here to remind you to attentively balance how much energy you give to others and how much you give to yourself. As a Cancer you are particularly sensitive to the moon cycles, and the new moon in Sagittarius on the 4th is a good time to give your physical and mental health precedence. If you do this all month, the sun’s movement into your sister sign Capricorn on the 21st will have you feeling more equipped to handle emotional difficulties and balance out your strong intuition with logical thought.

LEO

The transit of the sun through fellow fixed sign Scorpio last month was probably pretty intense for you, both relationally and internally. If you feel that you grew and learned from those experiences, Sagittarius season is here to reward you with opportunities for play and discovery. It will also be a good time to look at things from other perspectives, which is not necessarily a strong suit of Leo’s. The new moon on the 4th is a great time to release toxic ego patterns, particularly when it comes to matters of the heart. The solstice on the 21st might bring your healing in this arena to the forefront, and your ability to release the past will fill you with a new sense of faith and purpose.

VIRGO

Sagittarius and Virgo are both mutable signs, and this season is giving you the opportunity to square your earthy nature with the lessons brought by the more impassioned and brazen energy that fire signs embody. You might be feeling particularly protective of your home and the peace it provides. The new moon on the 4th and the full moon on the 19th are both in fellow mutable signs, and you might feel comforted by the fluidity of your experiences or you may feel ungrounded. Your ruling planet Mercury will enter Capricorn on the 13th, strengthening your ability to communicate with conviction and encouraging you to set healthy boundaries in the interest of your peace and your goals.

LIBRA

This month your ruling planet Venus will continue to transit fellow cardinal sign Capricorn, retrograding on the 19th. This, in combination with the sun transiting your 3rd house, will bring new lessons and challenges in the realms of intellect, communication, and material security. If you’ve been avoiding certain conversations or haven’t been completely honest with those around you, Venus’ conjunctions with Pluto on the 11th and the 25th will make the healing that needs to happen in these departments resoundingly clear to you.

SCORPIO

Hopefully your season last month brought deeper understanding of your shadows and renewed your sense of self-mastery and purpose. Your fixed watery energy may feel a bit uncentered as the sun transits Sagittarius in your 2nd house. This house is associated with material security, ambition, and beauty, and you might seek to establish good energy here through intellectual and pleasurable pursuits. Your traditional ruling planet Mars will move into Sagittarius on the 13th, increasing the energy you are willing to put into things that help you to feel simultaneously grounded and free.

SAGITTARIUS

Happy You season, Sagittarius! We are lucky to have your honest, versatile, adventurous energy as part of the zodiac. As a fire sign you are prone to action, but as a mutable sign you are more aware of nuances and complexities than your fellow fire signs. This wisdom will serve you well this month as the sun transits your 1st house, renewing your self-image, self-awareness, and sense of purpose. The new moon on the 4th is an excellent time to let go of any tensions or pains you are holding from the cycles of the last year in the name of a fresh start. The full moon in sister sign Gemini is a particularly potent opportunity to embrace the unknown/unknowable and focus on having fun!

CAPRICORN

This month it is your turn to go through the deep-dive-unconscious-unearthing that happens when the sun transits your 12th house. Since your 12th house is associated with the freedom and spontaneity of Sagittarius, you might find yourself being particularly impulsive and then needing to examine where those decisions come from. Mercury’s movement into your sign on the 13th will hopefully energize you to communicate clearly and effectively, and the sun’s movement into your sign on the solstice on the 21st will invigorate your dedication to your goals and spiritual growth.

AQUARIUS

Compared to last month the energy for you this month is relatively tame. If you have met the goals you set for yourself with grace and trusted yourself and the universe, this month will be marked by positive affirmations from your community and a feeling that the energy within you and around you is headed in the right direction. Your traditional ruler Saturn is still transiting your 1st house, so as you begin to feel settled don’t forget the importance of self-imposed structure in achieving your long-term goals. The full moon on the 19th in fellow air sign Gemini will encourage you to be adaptable and open-minded.

PISCES

Neptune, your modern ruler (classical astrology doesn't account for planets past Saturn; modern astrology does), will station direct on the 1st. Though this is more a signal of a societal shift, it will still affect you more than other signs. You might find that you feel less hazy and more in tune with your subconscious patterns and desires. The new moon in fellow mutable sign Sagittarius is a good time to allow yourself to be a little fiery and burn down self-destructive tendencies so that you can grow into healthier patterns. This will be particularly important as the sun will be transiting your 10th house of career and public image—prioritize your emotional stability in order to meet or transcend the goals you have set for yourself.

NOV 2021

Happy Scorpio season! Scorpio is an often misunderstood sign, and its surface association with sex, death, and secrets can lead to the accusation that Scorpio is “too intense.” What to some may seem obsessive or overly controlling can also be read at a higher vibration as being determined and self-reliant. Scorpio understands the gravity of life and death, of creation and destruction. As the sun and Mercury transit this moody, brilliant energy until the 21st, we are being invited to examine our closest relationships and our personal shadows in order to clear out the parts of us that might act venomously when we feel wounded or scared. When we do this we can embrace the positive aspects of this loyal and protective energy and experience deep love, affection, and sensuality. After what was QUITE the Mercury retrograde we are experiencing a great deal of forward planetary movement, indicating swift changes both internally and externally. The new moon in Scorpio on the 4th will ask us to take an honest look at our goals and foundations, release fear, and embrace both passion and compassion.

ARIES

This month the sun, Mars, and Mercury will be transiting your 8th house. The 8th house is associated with Scorpionic concerns like commitment, fear, sexuality, and death. It is also associated with the subconscious mind, and the ways we can self-sabotage or lead with our head rather than our gut. As a ram, you are quite prone to leading with your head/horns, but this month you might feel less aggressive and more strategic. Your shared Mars rulership with Scorpio comes in handy here and represents a good opportunity to balance your masculine and feminine sides. Venus and Mars will form a sextile the 22nd through 26th, invigorating these lessons by presenting opportunities to balance and strengthen your most important relationships.

TAURUS

Your sister sign Scorpio has a great deal in common with you—most notably keeping your circle tight-knit, being a not-so-secret romantic, and having a strong desire for intimacy and trust. As the sun, Mars, and Mercury transit your 7th house this month, you are being asked to integrate the things you’ve learned about yourself in the last six months and apply these lessons to your social life and partnerships. The new moon in Scorpio is an excellent time to establish healthy boundaries, and the full moon in your sign on the 19th will reward your commitment to your own stability, if you have been kind and true to your word.

GEMINI

Though Scorpio and Gemini have little in common on the surface, there is often a strange affinity formed between the two, due to relational patterns of self-protection and an unmatched alertness to what goes on around them. As the sun, Mars, and your ruling planet Mercury all transit your 6th house, you are being asked to clean up your health and organization habits in order to feel more emotionally stable and able to give to others. On the 10th, Mars and Mercury will square Saturn, perhaps illuminating the ways you compromise your health and encouraging you to find positive ways to improve it.

CANCER

This deep, watery Scorpio season might have you in your feels; and though Cancer is no stranger to strong feelings, the fixed nature of this season and the movement of Venus into your sister sign Capricorn on November 5th might have you feeling emotionally repressed or restricted. If these experiences do surface, it is an opportunity to learn how you want to release tension both within yourself and in relation to others. The sun, Mars, and Mercury will be transiting your 5th house of romance, creativity, and passion—find new ways to connect your creativity and emotional wellness.

LEO

While the sun, Mars, and Mercury transit your 4th house of home, safety, and security you might be feeling less boisterous as the watery depths of Scorpio season seep into your subconscious. Both Scorpio and Leo are fixed in nature, and this might comfort you as so many other planets go direct and demand action. Fixed energy is willing to take the required time to make necessary changes, and you will benefit from strategizing and planning before acting on your goals. The new moon in Scorpio and the full moon in Taurus will both affect you stronger than others, so be wary of energy or people that don’t support your long-term goals for stability and happiness.

VIRGO

Congratulations on making it through Mercury retrograde! Last month your ruling planet likely wreaked some havoc, forcing you to rewire a lot of previously-held belief systems and behavioral patterns. But this month, as the sun, Mars, and Mercury transit your 3rd house, you can reach a new level of understanding about your communication patterns and the depths at which you are willing to share with others both emotionally and intellectually. Towards the end of the month both the sun and Mercury will enter fellow mutable sign Sagittarius, ushering in new philosophical clarity and also FUN!

LIBRA

This month the sun, Mars, and Mercury will be transiting your 2nd house, which on the surface is about achieving material security and finding time for rest and pleasure. On a deeper level, however, it’s an opportunity to rectify the unstable structures inside us. Perhaps as you start this new cycle around the sun you are being asked to specifically examine the partnerships in your life and their impact, positive or negative, on your sense of self. Your ruling planet Venus will be moving into Capricorn, doubling down on a need to be both practical and mindful of your heart before making commitments.

SCORPIO

Happy You season, Scorpio! Thank you for your tenacity and dedication to authenticity. As you start a new cycle around the sun, Mars’ and Mercury’s transits through your 1st house highlight the connection between your willpower and communication needs. Your passionate nature may sometimes feel like a burden, but now is a time to embrace it as part of your power and be as honest as possible with yourself and others about your wants and needs—and the difference between the two. The new moon in your sign on November 4th will signal a change in the winds as you replace self-negating patterns with loving ones.

SAGITTARIUS

This month the sun, Mars, and Mercury will be transiting your 12th house and asking you to take stock of your experiences over the past year and the ways you have grown. 12th house transits are not the easiest, but they can be incredibly rewarding if you are attuned to your intuition and aware of ways you can be self-sabotaging. For Sagittarius this can often mean taking on too many things at once or prioritizing a purely action-oriented notion of freedom over the freedom that can come from slowing down and being still (if only for a moment). The sun and Mercury will enter your sign near the end of the month, bringing clarity and excitement.

CAPRICORN

Scorpio season might feel a bit strange for you, as the stillness of its water and correlated emotional depth is not exactly attuned to your “making moves in the real world every day” approach. The sun will be transiting your 11th house, highlighting the areas of life that are rewarding once you have achieved stability, both physically and emotionally. Now is a great time to invest in new friendships and work toward collective humanitarian goals. In addition, Venus movement into your sign on the 5th is here to remind you that even a certified badass is capable of stillness and softness.

AQUARIUS

This month the sun will be transiting your 10th house, associated with career, public image, and the ways we conceive of “success.” Though you may certainly be one to march to the beat of your own drum, hopefully you continue to find your individual strengths and how they can be of use to the collective. The new moon on the 4th and full moon on the 19th will be particularly influential on these capabilities in this arena. Your ruling planet Saturn as well as Jupiter continue to transit your 1st house (now direct), and you will likely be particularly cognizant of the excess in your life you are ready to trim in order to sprout new leaves.

PISCES

Scorpio season will probably feel lighter for you than most. As the sun now transits your 9th house you might be feeling freer, having healed and let go of difficult patterns or relationships last month. Your fellow water sign Scorpio is here to ground you, and meditating or picking up new intellectual pursuits around the new moon on the 4th might lead to an overall deeper sense of peace and balance. The sun and Mercury will move into fellow mutable sign Sagittarius at the end of the month which, depending on your attitude, will either feel freeing or chaotic.

OCT 2021

Happy Libra season! Libra is characterized by a dedication to beauty, balance, and justice. As an air sign and an air season, Libra’s cardinal energy invites us to embrace the influence that relationships, partnerships, and friendships have on our sense of wellbeing, and the ways we can nurture ourselves to show up at our best. This month, many outer planets—Saturn, Jupiter, and Pluto—which have been retrograde will go direct, and we will collectively be feeling a jolt of social awareness after spending the last few months focusing on inner work. The Aries/Libra axis explores themes of independence and dependence, aggression and harmony. As Jupiter and Saturn (both in air sign Aquarius) move out of retrograde motion, now is a great time to invest in intellectual and social goals that embrace the beauty of knowing yourself and loving and accepting others. Venus, Libra’s ruling planet, will enter freedom-loving Sagittarius on October 7th. This transit will bring both levity and gravity to the lessons we are learning in the realm of relationships—watch out for overthinking or under-planning—but in general this season should be an affirming, exciting time for us all!

ARIES

The sun will be transiting your sister sign Libra for the first 20 days of this month, so it is time to assess the lessons you've learned about yourself in the last six months and the ways you would like to integrate these lessons in your relationships. The new moon in Libra on October 6th is an excellent time to intentionally release old patterns (perhaps where you were too giving, or not giving enough) and invite in balance, harmony, and reciprocity. Your ruling planet Mars will be transiting Libra for the majority of the month, reinforcing the need for healthy boundaries. The full moon in your sign on the 20th will bless your individual needs—if you have focused on playing well with others.

TAURUS

Though they don't share an element or modality, Taurus and Libra often exhibit similar traits. Both signs are ruled by Venus and will prioritize pleasure and beauty over most other things, and both focus on honesty and reciprocity when it comes to relationships. While your energy may feel somewhat less grounded during this fast-paced, airy season, it is also an opportunity to lighten up a bit. The new moon in Libra on the 6th is an excellent time to focus on your physical health and appearance and find your ground through that ceremonial act. On the 7th, Venus will enter fun-loving Sagittarius, and hopefully your body feeling appreciated will help you open up to a multitude of new forms of love.

GEMINI

Your fellow air sign has a lot to teach you about dedication to your ideals and how powerful air can be. Your less cardinal nature might take a moment to adjust to the speed with which things will start happening for you this month, particularly as the sun, Mars, and Mercury all transit your 5th house of power, creativity, and love. The new moon in Libra on the 6th is a good time to release toxic ego concerns in the name of relational harmony and collective good. Your ruling planet Mercury will be retrograde until the 18th; it would be wise to take more time to think before you speak, so that when you do it is with peace and clarity.

CANCER

This month the sun, Mars, and Mercury will be transiting your 4th house in fellow cardinal sign Libra. The 4th house and Cancer have a number of shared qualities and focuses like home, family, security, and emotional vulnerability. Leaning into Libran values like balance and integrity might ease your more reactionary tendencies, particularly as Venus finishes its transit through Scorpio for the first week of the month. The full moon in Aries on the 20th will engage your inner child and aid in the release of some of the emotional baggage that comes with being a water sign in this world.

LEO

This season is likely to feel a bit more free-flowing than last month, and as the sun, Mars, and Mercury transit your 3rd house you will likely be feeling particularly curious and playful. Libra energy is like oxygen to Leo’s fire. This can be a great deal of fun or it can become a wildfire, and with the additional effect of Mercury in retrograde it would be wise to make sure that you are maintaining control. Venus’ transit through Scorpio for the first week is a good time to get your footing, because once it moves into Sagittarius you will be particularly prone to impulsiveness.

VIRGO

Your ruling planet Mercury will continue its retrograde motion through Libra and your 2nd house until the 18th, highlighting a need to go inward and establish strong foundations of self and material security before being able to be giving and accommodating with others. You’ve got to fill your own cup first, and now is an excellent time to practice or establish routines that ensure long-term health and stability. The newly direct motion of Jupiter, Saturn, and Pluto this month will hopefully balance out any feelings of disharmony in communication, particularly if you can maintain a clear vision of what you want to contribute to the world.

LIBRA

Happy You season, Libra! The sun’s transit through your 1st house will be accompanied by Mars and Mercury’s retrograde motion through your sign. You might be feeling particularly ambitious and motivated, but then experience difficulties in communication or logistics. The key is to be patient and roll with the punches. The new moon in your sign on the 6th is an excellent time to release self-doubt or the negative thought patterns you've been processing over the last year, and the full moon in your sister sign Aries on the 20th is a great chance to embrace your individual needs and feel calmly rooted in yourself and your potential.

SCORPIO

As your solar cycle comes to a close and the sun, Mars, and Mercury transit your 12th house, you might notice certain cycles or patterns in your life coming to their natural conclusions. Now is a good time to assess what matters most to you spiritually and emotionally. Access Libra’s relational expertise in rectifying your individual needs and the needs and desires of those whom you love. Your modern ruler Pluto will station direct in your 3rd house on the 6th, leading to particularly poignant and deep examinations of how you communicate. The sun will move into your sign/1st house on the 20th, illuminating these more shadowy attributes in ways that make them possible to release and build healthier patterns.

SAGITTARIUS

This month your ruling planet Jupiter will resume direct motion after retrograding in Pisces and Aquarius over the last couple months. You are bound to be feeling particularly expansive and powerful, particularly once Venus enters your sign on the 7th. Romance and friendship will be factoring heavily, as will themes surrounding your value to your community and to society. The sun, Mars, and Mercury will be transiting your 11th house, illuminating what you can release in order to meet your highest good.

CAPRICORN

Libra and Capricorn are both cardinal signs, and it would be fair to say that they each pack their own punch when it comes to influence and dedication to their goals. While Libra energy may come off as lazy to earth-bound Capricorns, more often than not it’s merely a difference of priorities. As an earth sign you are much more concerned with the material realm than airy Libra, but their social skills and loving nature are certainly things we would all do well to cultivate in our daily lives. If you’ve been feeling foggy lately, your ruling planet Saturn's switch back to direct motion will hopefully clarify what external challenges you are up against and how you can best overcome them.

AQUARIUS

This month the sun will transit your 9th house, bringing a greater sense of personal freedom as you enjoy the benefits of the sun transiting fellow air sign Libra. The new moon in Libra on the 6th will hopefully give you a chance to meditate on what it means to be present with yourself and with others, and perhaps release fears around being perceived as one thing or another. Embracing Libra’s tendency to be giving and open (while still maintaining healthy boundaries) might serve you well in finding your sense of individual responsibility and freedom and how it affects your relationships with others.

PISCES

This month it is your turn to go through the somewhat heavy transits of the sun, Mars, and Mercury through your 8th house. The 8th house deals with subconscious desires, sex, transformation, and trust. You might experience difficult personal dynamics or spend time examining the times when you did not trust yourself enough, or your trust was broken by others. It is also an opportunity to know yourself better and make sure you understand unhealthy patterns in order to make sure you don't repeat them. The new moon in Libra on the 6th is a good time to set intentions to love yourself and trust yourself in order to maintain harmonious relationships.

SEPT 2021

Happy Virgo Season! This beautiful, adaptable earth energy is resilient, practical, and dedicated. In a way, Virgo is a foil for Leo’s boisterous, egocentric approach to life. Once we have integrated the ego and its needs, Virgo season offers lessons in service and humility. It's an excellent time to tie up loose ends, develop healthy habits, and focus on your stability and community. The new moon in Virgo on the 7th is an excellent time to purge negative thought patterns, unhealthy habits, and disorganized communication. Virgo’s ruling planet, Mercury (the planet of communication and intellect), will be transiting Libra all month and retrograde on the 27th, by which time the sun will have entered Libra. Both Libra and Virgo are—at their best—charming, adaptable, balanced, and kind. It is in our best interest to learn how to cultivate these traits within ourselves and to support our loved ones in ways that encourage collective healing. The full moon in Virgo’s sister sign Pisces on the 20th will provide loving lessons and rewards from balancing faith and practicality—if you have done the inner work to establish equilibrium between self-love and service to others.

ARIES

This month the sun will join Mars in its transit of your 6th house. Last month’s energy will hopefully have encouraged you to refine your health routines, learn more about yourself, and communicate effectively. On the 2nd, Mars will be in opposition to Neptune, triggering hidden or repressed anger issues and inviting you to examine the higher vibrational ways to deal with conflict. This could also be an examination of your will to succeed and how your emotional reactions to collective issues can inspire your creative problem-solving skills to the benefit of you and your community.

TAURUS

You are bound to be feeling more grounded this season after a growth-oriented Leo season. The sun’s transit of your 5th house might have you particularly revved up in the realms of romance and creativity. The new moon in Virgo on the 7th is an excellent time to write down what you would like to manifest. Your ruling planet Venus will spend the first 10 days of the month in fellow Venusian sign Libra before moving into the intense, watery depths of your sister sign Scorpio. If you are feeling more self-protective or experiencing trust issues, know that these are valuable lessons and that you should trust your intuition and embrace your inherent value.

GEMINI

This month might be very emotional for you, Gemini. The sun and Mars will be transiting your 4th house of home, security, and emotional health. Though this transit might be a little watery for your liking, focusing on your physical and energetic foundations can be incredibly rewarding and ultimately relaxing. Mercury, your ruling planet, will be transiting your 5th house in fellow air sign Libra, bringing balance and harmony to your interactions with others and encouraging healthy new partnerships—if you are able to communicate effectively and honestly, that is.

CANCER

This earthy Virgo season is an excellent time for you to take a look at your communication patterns and the ways your passionate nature influences your intellectual pursuits. The sun and Mars will be transiting your 3rd house, and the new moon in Virgo on the 7th will also occupy this area of your chart. Venus will be moving into fellow water sign Scorpio on the 10th, bringing forth lessons about ego and trust. Cancer is an energy that usually prioritizes intuition over logic, so perhaps logical, analytical Virgo season and these 3rd house transits are here for balance—the heart and mind must work together.

LEO

Learning how to balance practicality and emotion can be difficult, and this month you are being asked to do exactly that. As the sun and Mars transit your 2nd house, you might be feeling particularly reactive when it comes to your resources and what you have to give and receive materially. As you continue the start of this new cycle around the sun, now is a good time to take a look at your material foundations. Once Venus moves into fellow fixed sign Scorpio on the 10th, your focus may be split between material and emotional foundations. Trust yourself and the process.

VIRGO

Happy You season, Virgo! Your solar return is an excellent time to leave old patterns behind and embrace change. Your mutable earth energy will be particularly potent this month as the sun and Mars transit your 1st house. Dedication to your goals is being highlighted—embrace your most effective organizational habits and meditate on the things that keep you motivated. The new moon in your sign on the 7th is an excellent time to write down what inspires you and what you want to manifest. It is also a good time to release self-limiting beliefs. The full moon in your sister sign Pisces on the 20th will reward you if you have demonstrated dedication to your growth and your goals.

LIBRA

As you come to the end of your solar cycle, take stock of the last year and the lessons you’ve learned. As the sun transits your 12th house the comprehensive results of your choices and actions over the past year are being illuminated by your subconscious. It may feel uneasy, it may feel liberating—ultimately it depends on your attitude. If there are cycles that you are ready to release, do it in ways that embrace Virgo’s practical and kind nature. Venus (your ruling planet) will continue to transit your sign for the first 10 days of the month before shifting into serious, brooding Scorpio. Embrace balanced self-love for the Libra portion of this transit, and the Scorpio transit will provide new levels of trust, understanding, and depth in the realm of relationships.

SCORPIO

This Virgo season will have you looking at the big picture in terms of how your strong intuition and depth can best be of service to your community and society as a whole. The sun and Mars will be transiting your 11th house, house of humanitarian pursuits and friendship. Simultaneously, Venus and Mercury will be transiting your 12th house until Venus moves into your sign on the 10th. There will likely be tension between your desire to focus on being a good lover and friend and your desire to independently contribute to the greater good. Both can be achieved if you take time to face your shadows and remove toxicity or resentment in either of these departments.

SAGITTARIUS

Virgo and Sagittarius might not appear to have that much in common on the surface—Virgo is considered more calculated and introverted while Sagittarius can be impulsive and dramatic. As the sun transits your 10th house, your career and goals are likely to be your main focus, and it is an excellent time to be creative in your approach and generally roll with the punches. Sagittarius and Virgo are both mutable signs, and though their approaches are different, a great deal can be learned by integrating earth and flame into a sustained, well-banked fire.

CAPRICORN

Your ruling planet Saturn has several aspects with personal planets this month, indicating that the rapid growth we are likely to all experience during Virgo season will affect you most strongly. Fellow earth sign Virgo can teach you to be more adaptable, and Saturn’s continued transit through Aquarius will keep you focused on how your innate power can initiate great strides in collective, societal goals. The sun will move into fellow cardinal sign Libra on the 22nd and though your shared action-oriented nature might have you jumping into things headfirst, it is important to remember what Virgo season teaches you about being calm, focused, and adaptable.

AQUARIUS

The sun and Mars will be transiting your 8th house this month, guiding you to take a look at deep-seated patterns around control, fear, death, regeneration, and understanding your highest emotional potential. Aquarius can be stereotyped as unfeeling and distant, but it is because the breadth of your empathy is so broad and deep that it must be contained and carried. On the 10th, Venus will move into fellow fixed sign Scorpio, intensifying the experience of having to process subconscious emotional patterns that might negatively impact some of your relationships.

PISCES

Virgo season will be starting off with a bang for you! On the 2nd, Mars will oppose your ruling planet Neptune, triggering sudden insights about how your ambition and your higher emotional good are (at times) connected and (at times) in conflict with one another. Your sister sign Virgo might not be as intuitive as you but can offer great lessons in clear communication. The new moon in Virgo on the 7th is an excellent time to start new cycles in how you communicate and set boundaries. The full moon in your sign on the 20th will bring opportunities to engage your most beautifully chaotic Piscean ways—if you have learned the lessons your earthy sister had to teach you.

AUG 2021

Happy Leo Season! Be hot! Be loud! Meet your highest potential! We are bound to be feeling more radiant and open as the sun transits its planetary ruler. If Cancer season was a doozy, let the moon’s lessons pull you out of any residual funk. Find new inspiration, take leaps of faith, and pursue both your highest pleasure and your highest good. The new moon in Leo on the 8th is an excellent opportunity to meditate on your more masculine tendencies—prioritizing positive action over receptivity and taking pride in the things you do. Leo season is about warmth and grandeur, but Mercury’s movement into earth sign Virgo on the 11th will keep communications more grounded than pure gregarious Leo energy. In addition, Mars and Venus will spend the first half of the month transiting Virgo, meaning that while your ego may be bursting with new ideas, relationships with others will remind you to consider the small details and nuances before acting. On the 16th, Venus will enter Leo’s fellow fun-loving sign Libra, making for a very playful week before the sun enters Virgo on the 22nd—reminding us that lasting rewards require focus and discretion.

ARIES

You and Leo have a lot in common: being bold, courageous, and intensely loving. Whereas your energy is cardinal in nature—dynamic, impulsive, reactive—Leo energy is fixed and more grounded. During this time, particularly with these Virgo transits, it would serve you well to think more structurally and strategically in pursuing your endeavors. Your ruling planet Mars will be transiting your 6th house, emphasizing a need to focus on your health and systems of organization. The new moon in Leo on the 8th is a good time to set intentions for how you can use your innate power to take proper care of your body and make long-term goals.

TAURUS

For you, lovely Taurus, Leo season will be punctuated by Mars and Venus transiting your 5th house in the sign of Virgo. Leo is a fellow fixed sign and Virgo is a fellow earth sign, and thus this Leo season is full of potential for you to integrate different aspects of your personality in the ways that feel the most affirming. The new moon in Leo on the 8th might offer illuminating lessons about your most stubborn ways and how they might come from a place of anger or fear. Stay true to your roots (while also allowing old, unhealthy patterns to wither) and make space for new growth.

GEMINI

Gemini and Leo are natural best friends. Magnanimous and endlessly interesting, you’re both always down for a good time. Gemini can learn from Leo energy how to take up more space, as well as how to underpin your social adaptability with reliability. On the 11th, Mercury, your ruling planet, will enter Virgo (also ruled by Mercury). This is a deep dive into your communication patterns; during this transit you might be more prone to think before you speak, and to streamline other modes of communication. The full moon in fellow air sign Aquarius on the 22nd will reward you if you have made positive changes in this arena.

CANCER

This season might present challenges. Whereas Cancer season enhances your nurturing and protective nature, Leo’s archetypically masculine energy might feel sensitive but not receptive, or nurturing but not soft. Like the moon reflecting the light of the sun, Cancer can learn a great deal from observing this season for what it is: an opportunity to show yourself the same amount of respect and love that you so willingly and (perhaps compulsively) show others. Affirm yourself rather than waiting for others to do it for you. The new moon in Leo is an excellent time to integrate the energies of these metaphysical counterparts (sun/moon) into a new way of being.

LEO

Happy You season, Leo! As you celebrate your solar return, it’s a good time to address the fact that the sun itself is your chart ruler. There might be stereotypes about Leo being self-centered or dramatic—and while it is wise to give those ideas credence, it is also an excellent time to acknowledge that you were born to shine and that this is an enormous gift! Harness your power! Be generous! Fight the good fight! The new moon in your sign on the 8th is a good time to take stock of the personal power you possess and write down how you intend to use it. Leo season will end with a bang with a full moon in Aquarius on the 22nd—a time to celebrate your growth, friendships, and achievements without doubting your value.

VIRGO

This month the sun and Mercury will both transit your 12th house. This is the end of your solar cycle, and thus you are being asked to take stock of the last year and your ego investments in yourself and others. As a sign marked by humility and efficiency, Virgo is much less invested in personal image than sun-ruled Leo. There is much to learn about valuing yourself this season though, and the transits of Mars and Venus through your sign will bring to light how truly important relationships and self-love are. Your ruling planet Mercury will also be transiting your sign from the 11th until the 30th. During this time there is a great deal you can teach—and learn from—others if you remain open.

LIBRA

Have you been true to yourself lately? If you’ve been deprioritizing yourself and prioritizing your relationships, the sun’s transit through your 11th house this month is a good chance to look at things from above. What separates you from a crowd? If you feel comfortable following, now is a good time to look at how your balanced way of interacting with others can also foster excellent leadership skills. Mars and Venus will be transiting your 12th house—make sure your subconscious shadows don’t prevent you from speaking your mind.

SCORPIO

The sun and Mercury will transit your 10th house for the first three weeks of the month, marking a good time for you to examine your finances, career, and public image. At the same time, Mars (your traditional ruler) and Venus will be transiting your 11th house. The 11th house is associated with friendships, humanitarianism, and the occult. Where do these aspects of life overlap for you? As Mars moves through the sign of Virgo this month it might be wise to spend time meditating on the different roles you have professionally and socially, and how you can communicate thoughtfully and enact meaningful change in your community.

SAGITTARIUS

Jupiter, your ruling planet, recently retrograded back into Aquarius from Pisces. As this giant, societal planet transits your 3rd house through mid-September you are being asked to operate from a more Geminian mode. It’s not always about what you know—looking at the world on a quest for novelty can be very rewarding. The sun and Mercury will be transiting your 9th house (opposite the 3rd) in fellow fire sign Leo. This month is bound to bring forth issues around your ego and how heavily it is invested in your existing knowledge base. The new moon on the 8th is an excellent time to release old learning patterns and embrace ambiguity and subjectivity.

CAPRICORN

This month the sun and Mercury will be transiting your 8th house. These transits are never easy, and an 8th house ruled by Leo can be particularly difficult because both Leo and Scorpio (8th house ruler) expect high levels of loyalty and trust. There’s nothing wrong with having high standards—a quality that Capricorns exemplify—but this transit is about finding compassion for others even when it is hard to do so. Venus will enter fellow cardinal sign Libra on the 16th, and you might open to this softness but find it difficult to do so. Follow your intuition and protect your heart.

AQUARIUS

Late last month Jupiter retrograded back into your sign and 1st house. Until mid-September this transit will be affecting your core sense of self in ways that bring expansion and optimism. This is a major upgrade to your connection to your higher good. It is an excellent time to get a new project going. Be mindful of Virgo’s transits through your 8th house as you make decisions, because in order for long-term goals to manifest they must also be well planned and fueled by passion. Your fixed-air nature has just the right combination of adaptability and reliability to see things through, and this is an excellent time to practice those qualities.

PISCES

During Leo season you are being asked to take pride in your efforts to take care of your body and mental health, and to improve those patterns in ways that make you feel good without feeling pressured. Mars and Venus will be transiting your 7th house of partnership and beauty for the first half of the month, and Venus will enter your 8th house on the 16th. The 8th house rules intimacy, death, transformation, and shared resources. Tension may arise between the desire to prioritize your independence and your health, and the desire to learn a lot about relationships very quickly. Trust your intuition when it comes to figuring out priorities.

JULY 2021

Cancer season is here! Ask yourself: How do you feel? How do you REALLY feel? Cancer energy is deeply loving, and thus is not to be played with. Archetypically they are the entire ocean—inviting, but also subtly deceptive. You can wade in the shallows, but if you plan on being a true explorer you need to be prepared for hurricanes, rip tides, and unimaginable depths. As the sun transits Cancer this month we are being asked to embrace the pieces of ourselves that are passionate, loving, and perhaps a bit dangerous. Ride the waves in ways that cultivate your emotional stability while accepting that stability is not always possible. The moon's activity during this time is particularly significant, as the moon is ruled by Cancer. The new moon on July 9th is a potent time to set intentions for emotional growth—confront your inner storms and love them for what they are. The end of the month is punctuated by Jupiter’s retrograde motion moving it back into Aquarius from watery Pisces. We have spent the last few months processing the need for rest and healing on a universal level; but with this transit we will be reinvigorated to examine the social benefits of original thought, collective action, and radical self love.

ARIES

This month the sun will be transiting your 4th house of home, security, and emotional well-being. This is the house ruled by Cancer, your fellow cardinal sign. Being cardinal fire moving through cardinal water will probably feel high-key emotional—you might feel triggered more easily, or misunderstood by the people who love you. Mars (your ruling planet) will be transiting your 5th house, inciting both internal and external examinations of ego. Perhaps you will experience a healthy ego death; perhaps you will feel particularly defensive and abrasive. As with all things, a well-balanced application of watery intuition and fiery passion should set you on the right path.

TAURUS

If Gemini season felt rough, you are bound to be feeling much more grounded—maybe even tethered—during Cancer season. If anyone knows anything about cuffing, it's Taurus and Cancer. Both of these signs seek stability, honesty, and comfort. If new romantic or platonic relationships present themselves, now is a good time to trust the process and let things unfold naturally. However, Mercury will be transiting all the elements this month except for earth, and therefore communications may feel ungrounded. Your ruling planet Venus will enter fellow earth sign Virgo on the 22nd, offering a calming, adaptable vibe.

GEMINI

July should be a very active time for you, Gemini! There is an abundance of fast-moving planetary action for you this month, and things are bound to feel a bit chaotic as Mercury moves through your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd houses. Your ruling planet will be transiting Gemini, Cancer, and Leo—moving through intellect, emotion, and pride at lightning speed. If you can roll with these punches you will learn a great deal about yourself. What do you want, what do you know, what do you deserve? If you take time on the new moon in Cancer on the 9th to check in with yourself about these questions, the full moon in fellow air sign Aquarius on the 24th will offer new opportunities and insights into your impact on your community and the world.

CANCER

Happy You season, Cancer! Welcome to a new cycle! As children of the moon, Cancers are most in tune with the cyclical nature of life, which can be both a blessing and a curse. If you have an awareness and love for the cycles, then this month will feel like a breath of fresh air—an emotional and spiritual renewal. If you find yourself resenting the low ends of these cycles, remember that you are equally gentle and powerful. The new moon on the 9th in your sign is in opposition to Pluto: planet of death, transformation, and rebirth. Use this time wisely to set intentions for your next year, and to leave the most draining cycles in the past.

LEO

The sun will be transiting your 12th house this month, signaling the end of your year-long cycle before your solar return starts July 22nd. Twelfth house transits can be difficult. We are asked to take stock of the last year and what it has taught us: What mistakes did we make, what spiritual growth did we achieve, who did we hurt, and how deeply did we love? Mars, Venus, and the moon will all conjunct in Leo on July 11th. This powerful conjunction in your 1st house will ask you to be very honest about your relational and emotional energy. The sun will enter your sign on July 22nd, and the full moon on the 24th in your sister sign Aquarius will illuminate the best ways you can apply the lessons of your 12th house transit to loving yourself and the collective in tandem.

VIRGO

This month is characterized by themes of caring and nurturing others while you experience rapid personal growth. Both Cancer and Virgo are nurturing (sometimes to the point of self-sacrifice). While Cancer season might have you a little bit too in your feelings, it will ultimately benefit you to detach from your mercurial nature and make time to commune with the moon. The sun will be transiting your 11th house, illuminating the intersections between the spiritual and the social. If you can find time to meditate with friends, or do group activities that encourage collective growth, the emotional weight of your love and care for others will be eased by knowing you are also showing that love and care to yourself.

LIBRA

This month the sun will be transiting your 10th house of career and public image. After last month this might feel like a welcome relief. Finally, a house where your cardinal nature can shine and you can apply all your skills in beauty, balance, and love to create abundance not only for yourself but for your larger community. The relational planets—Mars and Venus (your ruling planet)—will be transiting Leo in your 11th house, inspiring deeper thoughts around individual vs. collective action. Venus will move into Virgo on July 21st, placing additional focus on public service and universal love.

SCORPIO

Cancer season is here to shake things up for you, Scorpio. But you are ready for it! As the sun in Cancer transits your 9th house, you are being asked to philosophically upend emotional patterns that are detrimental to your path to personal freedom. The new moon on the 9th in Cancer will be in opposition to Pluto, your planetary ruler. Perhaps take this time to meditate on what is truly important to you: trust, freedom, standing in your truth. While watery Cancer season will feel relatively stable as you explore these themes, fellow fixed sign Leo’s solar transit starting on the 22nd will fire you up and offer opportunities to accept and love who you are without question.

SAGITTARIUS

Welcome to a season that is (energetically) entirely unfamiliar to you! You are characterized as mutable fire, while Cancer is cardinal water. Your 8th house is ruled by Cancer, and as such this season will be much more emotionally demanding than easy breezy Gemini season. Now is the time to truly examine your shadows and depths. It’s not cute, but it's rewarding. What wounds haven’t you healed? Are you letting things fester because you’d rather avoid non-rational thought? If so, this month will throw circumstances your way that make you feel, rather than rationalize. Your planetary ruler Jupiter will be shaking things up as it retrogrades from Pisces to Aquarius, further adding to the confusion between what is rational and what is emotional. Trust, love, and respect your higher self, and have faith that you’ll figure it out.

CAPRICORN

This month marks halfway through your yearly cycle as the sun transits your sister sign Cancer. The axis of Cancer and Capricorn is marked by dependency and self-sufficiency, and is a very emotional axis (though aren’t they/we all). Cancer is perhaps overly expressive and Capricorn has a tendency to repress difficult emotions. You might find that this month is marked by more emotional outbursts than are typical for you, particularly as Mars and Venus transit your 8th house. You are being asked to look at and remove the relational patterns that are most detrimental to your growth and authenticity. Have faith, show love when you feel safe, and maybe use the new moon in Cancer on the 9th to manifest a clearer emotional self image.

AQUARIUS

Aquarius is represented by a person carrying a jar of water, and Cancer is a very powerful water sign. You are capable of holding and protecting the emotional realities and desires of the collective, but it’s possible that Cancer season might have you feeling like the jar is breaking. Air signs tend to be more cerebral than intuitive, but this month is asking you to explore the connection between your intuition and your nerves. If Cancer season feels anxious or emotional, know that you are well-equipped to ride the waves. The sun’s entry into your sister sign Leo on the 22nd and the full moon in your sign on the 24th will be deeply invigorating and offer an opportunity to fully embrace your personal potential and release self-limiting beliefs.

PISCES

This Cancer season should have you feeling right at home in its watery depths. Cancer tends to be more aggressive than Pisces, as it signals the beginning of summer when we all start to really feel the heat. If you are feeling particularly emotional, use the new moon in Cancer on the 9th to set healthier patterns. The moon will be in your 5th house in opposition to Pluto in Capricorn, highlighting an opportunity for deep transformation in the emotional and practical ways you show care. Jupiter, your traditional ruler, has been transiting your sign over the last few months but will be retrograding at the end of the month into Aquarius. This will feel like a jolt back to reality, but can be harnessed to make great progress towards combining your values and goals.

JUNE 2021

Welcome to Gemini season! Play! Investigate! Ask too many questions! Connect the dots into some rudimentary form of meaning and purpose! Or not! Gemini is the mutable air sign and therefore highly impressionable. Some may see this as duplicitous, which may be the case at Gemini’s lowest vibration. But at its best this trait represents a meeting of spirit and matter and a willingness to change behavior and opinions when presented with new information. This month starts off with a bang as the north node and the sun conjunct in Gemini on June 1st. The sun’s conjunction with this astrological point will illuminate the ways our ego concerns may be detrimental to joyful exploration of our potential. Gemini’s ruling planet Mercury will be retrograde for most of the month until June 22nd, and as such we are being asked to be mindful of our interactions despite the frenzied excitement that comes with spring turning into summer. Both Mars and Venus will be transiting the sign of Cancer (archetypal mother) before entering Leo (archetypal father)—an invitation to re-parent ourselves specifically in the ways we give and receive love. The more you can do to be honest with yourself, the better.

ARIES

Last month's transits asked you to bring your focus inward. This month is the time to reap the rewards of loving yourself by allowing time to play and let your inner child shine. As the youngest sign of the zodiac you are very closely connected to the spirit realm, embodying the unbridled beauty of simply existing and acting. As your ruling planet Mars moves into fellow fire sign Leo on June 11th, you may experience a shift in your environmental factors or public image. If you are offered opportunities as a leader or warrior for what is right, take them! But also watch your fiery mouth—Mercury retrograde might bite you in the ass!

TAURUS

You might be hard-pressed to find two signs more different than Taurus and Gemini. Taurus is stable and grounded; Gemini is impulsive and flighty. Taurus is cautious; Gemini doesn't know what that word means. Both signs can learn a great deal from one another, and as the sun transits your 2nd house you are being asked to see how stability can be achieved by embracing change. You can attract beauty by embodying Gemini’s open and mutable nature. Show love in ways that make you feel free, and stability will naturally manifest in your life.

GEMINI

Happy You season, Gemini! This month the sun transits your 1st house, bringing a renewed sense of personal potential. Gemini loves potential—you see the fractals of what could be and make decisions despite seeing the endless possibilities. Mercury retrograde is difficult for everyone, but as your ruling planet you are intimately connected to the ups and downs that come with mercurial shifts. The new moon in Gemini on June 10th will be an excellent time to release communication styles that do not serve you, as well as to set intentions for the next year. Manifest a version of yourself that plays to your highest potential as somebody eternally connected to their inner child.

CANCER

This season the sun and Mercury will transit your 12th house before moving into your sign on June 22nd. During the Gemini period of this month you are being asked to go as deep as possible into your shadows and uproot insecurity, pain, and fear. It’s not the cutest transit, but it can be incredibly rewarding. Much like weeding your garden, this is a good time to straighten up your emotional awareness and health. Venus’ transit through your sign from June 2nd till June 27th will have you feeling extra sweet and wanting to smother folks with love—but combined with an erratic Mercury retrograde in Gemini, it might be best to think before you act.

LEO

Gemini and Leo are classic best friends. Geminis (and Gemini season) will gas you up. They love your playfulness, passion, and generosity, and they benefit from the constant inspiration to not just flow through the world but to make an impact. The sun’s transit of your 11th and 12th houses this month signals the end of your year-long cycle. You will be feeling lit up and ready to follow your passions, particularly once Mars enters your sign on the 11th. However, the transit of the sun into Cancer on the 22nd will ask you to get in touch with your intuitive side. Finding a balance between this inner investigation and the ways you navigate your power in relationships will be rewarding if you can be both subjective and objective.

VIRGO

This month the sun will transit your 10th and 11th houses, highlighting a time to focus on your career and position in your community. You are naturally nurturing and giving, perhaps sometimes to your detriment. The Gemini portion of this month is dominated by Mercury retrograde. You and Gemini share Mercury as a planetary ruler, and thus are both more impacted and more prepared when this cycle hits. If you are finding it difficult to manifest your intentions, remember that among the signs you are the most adept at clear communication. Listen carefully, take time during the new moon to clear out self-critical thought patterns, and open up to Gemini-esque play and discovery.

LIBRA

Gemini is a fellow air sign, and as such this month is bound to have you feeling “in your element.” Combined with the fact that the sun is transiting your 9th house until the 22nd, the first portion of the month will have you feeling incredibly free. Honestly, maybe too free—you might at times feel ungrounded and unstable. Remember that you are the manifestation of balance. The transits of Venus and Mars through the sign of fellow cardinal sign Cancer will have you searching for balance between this happy-go-lucky freedom and feeling high-key emotional. If anyone is capable it’s you: trust yourself and your loved ones, and this will shape up to be a very fun, growth-oriented month.

SCORPIO

This month the sun and Mercury will transit your 8th house for the first 22 days of the month. The 8th house is associated with deep subconscious emotions and committed partnerships. You might find Gemini season a little superficial or unsatisfying, but sometimes being lighthearted can be a good balance for you. Take a walk on the wild side. Mars, your traditional ruler, will be in Cancer until June 11th. This might feel like a period of rapid, untethered emotional growth until the sun moves into Cancer on the 22nd and you can breathe in the salty beauty of a fresh, summery water season.

SAGITTARIUS

Sagittarius and Gemini are sister signs, so this season might have you feeling both invigorated and turned upside down. Where Gemini seeks to think and experience, Sagittarius seeks to know and understand. Both are bright, chaotic, and arguably the most fun signs in the zodiac. This season is a great time for you to move towards a more playful intellect. Venus and Mars will be transiting your 8th house, making what would otherwise be a very lighthearted season something more—if you don’t examine your relationships to their depths, how can you have enough trust to truly let loose? The new moon in Gemini on the 10th is an excellent time to release possible fears of intimacy and embrace a curiosity about everyone you love and care about.

CAPRICORN

The first half of this month is bound to have you feeling a bit untethered as the sun transits your 6th house in the sign of Gemini. Mercury retrograde will also be occurring in this house for you, and so it is a good time to go inward and examine the ways you might be a tad too hedonistic (or conversely, too regimented). Once you make these Gemini season adjustments, Cancer (your sister sign) season beginning on the 22nd will bring welcome relief. The full moon in your sign on the 24th is an excellent time to take stock of your emotional realities and look at what (perhaps who?) you are ready to release in order to make room for a life that is both physically and emotionally healthier.

AQUARIUS

This month is bound to be ruled by binaries for you. Fellow air sign Gemini’s energy can feel chaotic, but there is also limitless potential. You move like lightning and Gemini moves like a strong breeze. This can manifest as an unpleasant storm or as something absolutely electrifying, depending on your attitude. The sun will be transiting your 5th house, which is ruled by your sister sign Leo. In addition, both Venus and Mars move into Leo this month. You might be navigating ego concerns more heavily than usual, which is perhaps particularly uncomfortable for Aquarius. However these concerns end up manifesting, know that your individuality is a strength when applied to collective action.

PISCES

Welcome to the first mutable season of the year! If Aries and Taurus seasons have felt particularly intense or demanding, Gemini season will hopefully provide a welcome reprieve from the demands of the physical realm. The sun will be transiting your 4th house, which is ruled by Cancer, your fellow water sign. This will be a fairly emotional time, but the relational planets of Mars and Venus transiting your 5th house will equip you to express your individual needs in relationships. If this feels difficult due to Mercury retrograde (and/or just being a Pisces) be sure to take your time and think about what you want to say before saying it.

MAY 2021

Happy Taurus season everyone! While Aries season is all about taking action and planting seeds, Taurus season is for tending our garden and watching it bloom. We are moving from the assertive energy of Mars to the receptive energy of Venus, from passion and desire to pleasure and security. As the sun transits Taurus and Jupiter enters Pisces, we are being invited to harmonize and feel pleasure with those around us. Though notoriously stubborn, Taurus energy can also be remarkably soft and affectionate—as long as you don't mess with its powerful horns. Make no mistake—Taurus season expects you to work hard. But the end game is to seek pleasure and beauty, to have the security to stop and smell the roses, just like Ferdinand the Bull. This Taurean sense of empowerment and security can inspire us to share our resources and stability with others, an impulse we will all feel as Mars continues its transit through Cancer. We are motivated by this double dose of receptive feminine energy to be mindful of others’ emotions and boundaries, as well as our own.

ARIES

Mars, your ruling planet, will continue its transit through watery, emotional, passionate Cancer all month. Cancer is a cardinal sign, like Aries. The signs are square to one another, indicating that this transit will bring great rewards but only if you make a concentrated effort. As the sun transits your 2nd house until the 21st, and Mars transits your 4th house all month, you are being asked to slow down in the physical-social realm and point your passions toward your inner stability, your family, and your home. Once you have achieved a sense of balance, Gemini season will provide plenty of opportunities for exploration and adventure, particularly on the Sagittarius full moon on May 26th.

TAURUS

Happy You season, Taurus! Thank you for your grounded nature, your determination to find and create beauty, and your steadfast dedication to self-love. The sun, Mercury, Venus, and Uranus will all be transiting your 1st house until May 21st. As you begin a new year-long cycle you are being asked to take a realistic look at how you can approach love and communication. Uranus is a planet of independence and eccentricity; it is electric and inspiring. If things have been feeling stagnant, the Uranus transit through your sign and conjunct with these relational planets is here to wake you up to new ways you can harmonize with others, while also standing your ground.

GEMINI

Both Mercury and Venus will be entering your sign early in May, which might make this slow- moving, fixed-earth, 12th house Taurus energy more bearable for you. As an air sign you seek stimulation, philosophical pursuits, travel, and play! But this month as the sun, Mercury, and Venus all transit your 12th house, you’re being asked to go within, to stand at the edge of the abyss between who you have been and who you can be, and to ask yourself questions you would normally rather avoid. In what ways is your mutable nature a gift, and in what ways is it harmful? What can you learn from Taurus’ grounded nature to make sure you are tending to the things you care about?

CANCER

This month Mars will continue its transit through your 1st house, putting your willpower, passion, and desire at the forefront of your consciousness. Taurus season is a good time for you to water things at the roots and to make sure the projects and relationships you want to invest in aren't toxic. You are kind, nurturing, and empathetic, and this nature can be overwhelming during this transit. Make sure you are directing at least half of that energy into yourself before being overgiving with others, and your flowers are sure to bloom. The new moon in Taurus on the 11th is a good time to clear out negative thought patterns and invite stability, reciprocity, and mutual kindness into all interactions.

LEO

The sun will transit your 10th and 11th houses this month, indicating a beneficial period of time to focus on how you project yourself in your community. Are you comfortable in roles of leadership? Do these roles bring you a sense of peace or a sense of anxiety? Fellow fixed sign Taurus is asking you to take a look at how establishing a solid sense of self and duty can help us enter community roles with our values at the forefront. The new moon in Taurus on the 11th is a good time to set intentions in this arena of self-worth, and the full moon in Sagittarius on the 26th will be a good time to take space from these heavy ego concerns and have some fun!

VIRGO

Jupiter—planet of expansion, growth, and opportunity—will enter your sister sign of Pisces on May 14th. As this planet transits your 7th house you are being asked to be receptive to gifts and new experiences related to love, beauty, and the general social sphere. This shift is a significant departure from a pattern of internal expansion that has been happening for years—you are being asked to embody all the best lessons you have taught yourself. The sun transiting fellow earth sign Taurus in your 9th house is asking you to find a balance between security and freedom, and Mercury and Venus in your fellow Mercurial sign of Gemini invite a sense of play and adaptability in communication and love.

LIBRA

May is shaping up to be a beautiful month for you, Libra! Though Taurus is an earth sign and earth seasons can feel a bit too serious or slow for your breezy self, the shared Venusian rulership between your signs should have things feeling sweeter, brighter, and softer than Aries season’s aggressive, individualist vibes. By May 9th Venus and Mercury will be transiting your 9th house in fellow air sign Gemini, making flirtations and new connections feel free, expansive, and undemanding. The sun, however, will be transiting your 8th house, a somewhat difficult transit that asks you to face your shadows and give birth to a new you. While it might be tempting to ride the waves of pleasure and fun, make sure you are also finding beauty in your shadows and allowing them to help you heal.

SCORPIO

At the beginning of this month the sun, Mercury, Venus, and Uranus will transit your 7th house of relationships in your sister sign of Taurus. At the same time, Mars (your traditional ruler) will be transiting fellow water sign Cancer. Overall this energy will have you feeling grounded, if not a little bit tender and extra reactive to dishonesty or those who break your trust. You know that you deserve stability and kindness, and nothing less. Jupiter's movement into Pisces on May 14th will encourage empathy for those in your circle acting out of insecurity or fear, but that shouldn’t come at the expense of your needs.

SAGITTARIUS

This month you are being given the opportunity to refine your daily routines (that is, if you have any). Do you have a million tabs open on your computer all the time? Things stacking up on your to-do list even though you’re always moving at the speed of light? Now is a good time to slow down as the sun, Venus, Mercury, and Uranus all transit your 6th house of health and well-being. Take a page out of Taurus’ book and stop to be romantic, smell the flowers, and clean your damn house. The full moon in your sign on the 26th is one of the most fun full moons of the year, so plan accordingly.

CAPRICORN

I hope that the cardinal energy of Aries season helped you to move the mountains you wanted to, and now that Taurus season is here you are making time for some well-deserved rest. Taurus and Capricorn are both earth signs, but with very different modes of operation. Where Capricorn’s will to establish material security often originates from a sense of duty (or perhaps scarcity), Taurus is well aware of the beauty and pleasure of life that makes all that effort worth anything. These transits, as well as Mars’ transit through your sister sign Cancer, all mark this as a good time to slow down, explore your sensuality, and embrace your natural magnetism.

AQUARIUS

Jupiter will be leaving your sign this month into watery Pisces, so you might feel able to slow down and ground yourself after these recent intense and electric new directions. Taurus and Aquarius are both fixed energies, and you might notice that the sun’s transit through your 4th house of home and security feels like somebody hit the slow-mo button when you were living in fast forward. If you are feeling cloudy during Taurus season, be sure to nurture yourself and the people you love. Fellow air sign Gemini’s season will begin May 21st and put the pep back in your step.

PISCES

This Taurus season is going to be pretty high octane for you. The sun, Mercury, Venus, and Uranus will be transiting your 3rd house of knowledge and communication. This house is associated with fellow mutable sign Gemini, whose season will start on May 21st. In addition to these transits, Jupiter, your traditional ruler, will be entering your sign/1st house on May 14th. This all represents a major shift in what you think you know, how you approach truth, and the obscure expanse that is subjective experience. Jupiter's presence in these matters brings luck, and Taurus’ energy will hopefully keep you from making any impulsive decisions in the midst of these changes.

APRIL 2021

Happy Aries season everyone! It’s the start of the astrological year! Spring is springing! We are vital, we are inspired, we are assertive, we are ready to face anything. Aries is cardinal fire, the spark of individuality that begins each of our journeys. It is an opportunity to crusade against that which plagues you internally and externally, set fire to the things that do not serve you, and rise from the ashes. Aries are leaders, warriors, pioneers. This month their ruling planet Mars will be transiting the air sign Gemini, which combined with the sun being in Aries, will make many of us feel like we are trying to go in a million different directions. Conversely, Gemini’s ruling planet Mercury will be entering Aries, making communications much more direct and fiery than last month when Mercury was in Pisces. This can absolutely be to our advantage as we take on new projects and relationships and make time for fun! But don’t forget your inner warrior, who needs to be strategic, loyal, and focused. Aries is deep, primal love. These transits are about learning how we communicate and express our love—both to ourselves and to others—with honesty, and through action.

ARIES

Happy You season, you beautiful badass! This month the sun will transit your sign through April 20th, and you are likely to be feeling reinvigorated after wading through the abyss that is watery Pisces season. Aries is (stereotypically) always down for a good time, and your ruling planet Mars will be transiting Gemini, another fun-loving spring sign. Harness this Mars energy by investing in friendships and embracing your inherent ability to communicate effectively and powerfully. The new moon in your sign on April 11th will be sextile Mars—a good time to set intentions to let go of old anger and do what you can to transform it into love.

TAURUS

This month the sun will be transiting your 12th house, illuminating your subconscious as you reflect on the past year. It’s a good time to release old cycles that no longer serve you, which can be difficult for particularly stubborn Tauruses. The new moon in Aries is a good time to meditate on things in your life that inhibit growth, and things that encourage it. By the time the sun enters your sign on April 20th, many other planets—Mercury, Venus, and Uranus—will also be in Taurus in your first house. Hopefully this will have you feeling stable and supported in new ways.

GEMINI

April is going to be quite the month for you Gemini—it’s time for the rubber to hit the road. Mars will be in your sign and transiting your first house, bringing passion, drive, and will to the forefront of your consciousness. This energy, combined with the fiery nature of Aries season, can maximize your potential, but only if you can find stability in your community and how you communicate your vision. Starting mid-month, many planets will be in Taurus transiting your 12th house, marking a need to establish stable foundations in your subconscious before your dreams come true.

CANCER

Aries and Cancer are both cardinal signs, and this month you will probably feel invigorated and ready to start new creative projects. Though fire and water might seem like opposites, when they combine they open up many possibilities. Do you want to be steam? A healing hot spring? A rainbow? It’s all possible. Taurus season will start on the 20th, shortly before Mars enters your sign on the 25th. If you feel a little too heated during Aries season, Taurus season and Mars movement into your sign will ground you in your receptive, caring nature.

LEO

Happy Aries season, Leo! Aries is a fellow fire sign, and this season you are probably feeling ignited and passionate in ways you haven’t felt for a while. The sun, Venus, and Mercury will all be transiting your 9th house, which is ruled by the third fire sign Sagittarius. This is an opportunity to feel freer and to find balance between your fixed nature and the potential offered by prioritizing freedom in communication and love. Leos can learn from Aries’ energy to follow impulses and shine as bright as they want to! Use the new moon in Aries on the 11th to release ego fears and embrace self-love and acceptance.

VIRGO

This month it’s your turn to go through difficult but rewarding eighth house transits. The eighth house is associated with death, rebirth, secrets, and shared resources. This area of your chart will be illuminated by the sun, Mercury, and Venus—an invitation to take a deep dive into your fears and subconscious habits surrounding your relationship with yourself and with others. Have you been giving too much? Have you withheld feelings to avoid conflict? Have you acted out of fear instead of love? Now is the time to face your shadows and bring them to the surface, so that they might transform into understanding and growth. This growth will feel incredibly rewarding once the sun enters fellow earth sign Taurus on the 20th.

LIBRA

The sun, Mercury, and Venus will all be transiting your seventh house of partnership, cooperation, and harmony. Though this is a generally beneficial transit, the fact that these planets are in Aries can lead to impulsive decisions that might not achieve the balance you seek. Having the wisdom to see where this energy is valuable and where it can cause you (or others) harm is the lesson here. Be particularly mindful of your cardinal nature—the pull toward your sister sign Aries is exciting but might come with fiery consequences.

SCORPIO

In many ways Aries and Scorpio are as different as signs can get: one brash and bold, the other cautious and calculating. What they have in common is that both share Mars as their traditional ruler, and thus there are shared themes of power and aggression. This season you might feel particularly sensitive to aggression as Mars transits your eighth house in the sign of Gemini. The eighth house is associated with death, transformation, and shared resources. If somebody is taking you for granted, make sure you say so. If you are feeling insecure or on edge during Aries season, the sun's movement into your sister sign of Taurus on the 20th will hopefully encourage a stronger sense of security and self-worth. The full super moon in your sign on the 27th might lead to the surfacing of uncomfortable subconscious fears and desires, but if harnessed correctly this can result in a sense of renewal and clarity.

SAGITTARIUS

This month the sun spends the first 20 days in fellow fire sign Aries, and will transit your fifth house of self-expression and pleasure. This triple dose of fire can be very advantageous, like a controlled burn of bad habits in communication and love. For you, these transits are about harnessing your power as a thinker and a do-er—and potentially as a leader—without spinning yourself in circles about what is right or wrong. The continued transit of the south node through your first house might have you feeling like you're continuing to repeat old patterns that you know need transformation. The cardinal fire of Aries and the transit of Mars through your sister sign Gemini are asking you to look at what’s in front of you with a sense of innocence and curiosity, and act from there.

CAPRICORN

As the sun continues to transit Aries, you are being given the opportunity to move like lava—as fire heats the earth, our passion ignites our goals, and it spreads and builds, cooling into something solid we can stand on. You can be slow and steady but also hot and unstoppable. The sun transiting your fourth house until the 20th might have you more aware of your emotions than usual, so taking a moment to decide when to take action and when to reflect will serve you well. The new moon on the 11th is a good time to take stock of how your emotional depths influence the way you manifest. The start of Taurus season on the 20th is a good time to take what you learn and apply it in the physical realm.

AQUARIUS

This Aries season has very push-pull vibes for you, Aquarius. On one side you might be buzzing with electricity and millions of exciting ideas, while on the other you want to work on your foundations and security. This fiery sun transiting your second house until the 20th can ignite the passion needed to make this happen, but could potentially leave you feeling depleted if you are unable to find solid footing. If you manage to find that footing during Aries season, the sun’s transition into Taurus on the 20th will open to possibilities of beauty, sensuality, and play. The full moon in Scorpio on the 27th will occur in your tenth house of career and responsibility, and it’s a good time to take a deep, honest look at your goals and how they serve your highest good.

PISCES

This month your ruling planet Neptune will continue transiting your first house. Neptune, much like Pisces, is associated with unreality, dreams, idealism, and compassion. This is a six-month transit that can be enlightening or frightening, depending on your attitude and point of view. You are being asked to look at the big picture, but in a very personal way. How do you take in energy from the collective and how do you expend what you take in? Does it feel healthy? If not, perhaps it would serve you well to set intentions for the Aries new moon on the 11th concerning how you can best navigate this high-vibration emotional experience. The Mars movement into fellow water sign Cancer on the 24th will beneficially shift your energy so you can learn to nurture yourself from the inside out, and from the outside in.

MAR 2021

Happy Pisces season everyone! As the last sign of the zodiac, Pisces carries with it knowledge from all the signs leading up to it. Pisces is like a river, always moving, clearing out the old and bringing in the new. Its energy can manifest as two fish swimming in opposite directions—yin and yang, positive and receptive, empty and full. If you are stagnant, Pisces asks you to clear out that which does not serve you. This season is an opportunity to both float on the surface of your emotional ocean as well as explore its depths.

This month the sun will be moving through Pisces and Aries, signaling the end of the astrological year. In a way, the rains we experience in early March are much like Pisces energy. Mutable water gives way to the cardinal fire of Aries as the days get warmer, and life starts to burst out of the ground. Our collective energy can embody this transition by using Pisces season to acknowledge the lessons we’ve learned in the last year and water the seeds of what we would like to manifest in the coming year. The new moon in Pisces on March 13th is a potent time to meditate and set intentions. The full moon in Libra on March 28th is a good time to celebrate your relationships.

ARIES

This month, the sun will transit your 12th house until the 20th. Pay attention to your dreams and analyze them; the drive/curiosity to do this can be aided by your ruling planet Mars’ transit through your 3rd house. Both of these houses (arenas of life) are exploratory and exciting, but might also have you feeling a little scattered and confused. Embracing curiosity instead of a fear of what comes next will do wonders.

TAURUS

On March 5th Mars will be finishing its six week transit through your sign and moving into Gemini. Now is a good time to analyze the positive ways that Mars being in your sign affected your career or personal relationships. When has being stubborn gotten in your way, and when were you rightfully stubborn? Approach things this month with more levity. Your ruling planet Venus transiting Pisces will bring the romance, and Mars transiting Gemini will bring intellectual stimulation.

GEMINI

The sun will be transiting your 10th and 11th houses this month, indicating a time to think about “grown up things.” This is generally not Geminis’ favorite activity. This is not to say they lack maturity, they just tend to prioritize discovery and stimulation over retirement accounts and political theory. However, this month Mars’ movement into your sign will give you an extra dose of energy to tackle necessary responsibilities and growth, ultimately leading to a greater sense of freedom. The full moon in fellow air sign Libra on March 28th is a good time to (safely) gather with friends and celebrate this growth.

CANCER

This month the biggest event for you will certainly be the new moon in Pisces. New moons are when we are mindful of what we have released since the previous full moon, and set intentions for what we want to manifest. This month's full moon will conjunct (reach the same area of the sky as) the sun, Uranus, and Venus. This transit is about investigating our emotional nature and finding new, innovative ways to approach relationships. Cancer is ruled by the moon, and thus any major moon-related energy combinations go extra deep for you. You are naturally intuitive and giving; this moon gives you time to take stock and find new ways to willingly receive the love you deserve.

LEO

You may struggle this month as the sun in Pisces transits your 8th house. The 8th house is the house of transformation, associated with Scorpio and Pluto. Water seasons can be strange for fire signs. You might feel diluted, like your natural vitality is somehow harsh to the vibes of others around you. The beautiful thing about Pisces season is that we are all asked to be more understanding with one another and see that we are each on a journey both personal and universal. The sun will conjunct Venus as they both move into Aries on the 20th, bringing you a friendly dose of vitality and self assurance.

VIRGO

I hope last month's full moon brought you lots of clarity and good health. As the sun continues to transit your sister sign of Pisces, you are being asked to concentrate your energy on coming to terms with unknown unknowns. The Pisces/Virgo axis is sensitive and beautiful, one end seeking to dissolve while the other seeks to resolve. Virgo energy is constantly seeking to maintain balance and fairness, to show love in small ways that have a big impact. It might not be as romantic as Pisces, but it provides a pivotal point of clarity that balances Pisces’ dreamy, beyond-time-and-space vibes. Stand in your power to bring balance, but also embrace the unknown. Try loosening up and letting the river carry you where it wants to.

LIBRA

This month the sun transits your 6th house, a house of health and self-awareness. It’s about the small things; tweaking self and routine can make all the difference before the energy shifts to the 7th house and the social sphere. Now is an excellent time to lean into your Venus rulership and spend extra time caring for your body and environment. If you’re into gardening, or just curious, it can improve or maintain your mental health. The full moon in Libra on the 28th should be lots of fun and illuminate the ways you’ve managed to grow your relationship with your body, your environment, and the planet.

SCORPIO

Hopefully as the sun continues to transit your 5th house of creativity and love, you are finding comfort in the soft flow of Pisces season and the protective, positive energy provided by Leo’s rulership of this house. If things have been feeling a little too serious, take the depth of your emotional knowledge and let it light the way towards happy, healthy, fun relationships. This focus for Scorpio right now is also influenced by the north node transiting Gemini in your 8th house for the next year or so. Long term, how can you create your own happiness and ensure that you make room for play and discovery?

SAGITTARIUS

Much like January, this month is again asking you to take a look at relationships—this time with a focus on balance and security. Mars will be transiting your 7th house in the sign of Gemini, indicating a positive, playful drive to meet new people and possibly potential romantic partners (safely). At the same time, Venus is transiting your 4th house in the sign of Pisces—even your forever free spirit desires and deserves loyalty, compassion, and stability. There is a balancing act here, and you would be wise to embody Pisces energy and engage both the assertive and receptive sides of this transit. When the sun enters Aries on the 20th, you will hopefully have established good boundaries and be able to have lots of fire season fun.

CAPRICORN

This month the sun and Mercury will both be transiting your 3rd house. This house is associated with discovery, communication, and play. Mercury rules the 3rd house and thus you are getting a lot of flowy Pisces/Gemini energy in your chart and specifically in your mind. You might be saying “I’m a Capricorn, I’m not open-minded.” And yet here you are being open to new things and ideas. I suggest you embrace this energy to the best of your ability so that when the sun transitions to Aries on the 20th you can embody the shared cardinal energy and use this new nature to do anything.

AQUARIUS

This month the Aquarius stellium (a gathering of more than three planets in any given sign) will disband; but Jupiter, Saturn, and Mercury will remain transiting your 1st house. The long-term influence of Jupiter and Saturn transiting your sign over the next two years is a somewhat lengthy exploration of power, morality, and structure, so I would focus your monthly energy more around the transit of Mercury through your 1st house during the first half of the month. Hopefully Mercury retrograde last month was healing and introspective. The first two weeks of this month are asking you to demonstrate what you’ve learned. It is important for you to express your individuality in ways that feel authentic and bring you happiness. Let your freak flag fly!

PISCES

Happy You season, Pisces! Your season is a beautiful time for everyone to get in touch with their own intuition and empathy. For you this is an especially potent moment to stand in your power, which comes from your capacity for constant, deep, meaningful interactions with life. The new moon on the 13th in your sign is somewhat like a capstone, an opportunity to meditate on what you want to keep from this last year and what you are ready to release. Pisceans tend to get in their own way after their kindness is taken for weakness one too many times. If you have had experiences like that in the past year, it is good to remember that change is inevitable, and you are a river that can move across space and time toward that which serves your highest good.

FEB 2021

Welcome to Aquarius season! A truly remarkable sign—altruistic humanitarians carrying the weight of the world while staying light on their feet. Aquarians understand that we have just as much a duty to the collective as we do to ourselves. Aquarius is about authenticity and progress and Aquarians see the capabilities humankind has to take care of itself and the earth (and is frustrated when it doesn’t).

At the beginning of the month there will be FIVE planets in Aquarius—the Sun, Mercury, Venus, Saturn and Jupiter. This will feel ELECTRIC and will no doubt play out most observably in social and political spheres. I fully anticipate this Aquarius stellium (a stellium is a gathering of more than three planets in any given sign) will activate those of us who are community-minded and action-oriented to work and fight for what we believe in. The new moon in Aquarius on February 11 will conjunct Venus and Jupiter, expanding our visions of collective love and harmony.

ARIES

Mars, your ruling planet, will be transiting your 2nd house all month. The 2nd house is primarily associated with possessions and wealth: fixed earth things. The mantra for the 2nd house is “I Have,” which from a developmental perspective is about possession of the self. How do you establish a stable sense of self? How does that affect us in the physical realm? What have you fired up this past month? What sparks of creativity? Now is the time to lay concrete foundations for new possibilities.

TAURUS

Like our Aries friends, Mars’ transit this month will significantly impact you. While the Aquarius stellium transits your 10th house of career and public image, Mars will be in your sign and transiting your 1st house. Mars is associated with willpower, passion, and anger. Mars is the god of war, and you might find that this 1st house transit is igniting passions that are difficult to integrate with the Aquarian energy. The unsettled vibe of air seasons might be uncomfortable for you as an earth sign, but Aquarius and Taurus are both fixed energy— in their values and in their actions. This makes for dynamic but stable waves for you to ride—at least if you’ve got the right attitude.

GEMINI

Hopefully you survived the depths of Capricorn season’s transits through your 8th house. As you move into Aquarius season you are likely to be feeling freer. The Aquarius stellium will be transiting your 9th house—a house of expansion and knowledge-seeking, as well as group activities/friendship/teamwork etc. Out of all the signs, this month you are the one best situated to apply your social skills and flowy nature to organizing people towards humanitarian goals with the gusto, freedom, and energy provided by this transit. Whatever lessons you learned last month will be useful when applied to these big picture efforts.

CANCER

This month the Aquarius stellium will be transiting your 8th house for the first 20 days of the month. This will be about finding a balance between your obligations to yourself and to the collective. Cancers are natural empaths, making 8th house transits (specifically of this magnitude) particularly difficult. But they bring great rewards! When we clear out the tendencies clogging our souls, we make room for transformation and real internal honesty. The Aquarian influence of this transit will hopefully soften the severity of the moment, which might tempt you to thicken your crab shell and not let others in. If you are feeling defensive for the first half of the month, let Pisces season wash it away like the Mississippi River flowing into the Gulf.

LEO

Hopefully the full moon in your sign at the end of last month was invigorating and led you to new heights of self discovery and love. This month’s transit stellium in your sister sign of Aquarius will build on the themes of last month, with the focus moving from the personal to the social sphere as the planets transit your 7th house of relationships, romance, and partnerships. How do you fill your own cup as well as those of others? What is expected and owed in your close friendships and partnerships? Do you feel alienated or free? The new moon in Aquarius on the 11th is a good time to set intentions related to personal relationships, fueled by the lessons you learned during the full moon.

You may struggle this month as the Sun in Pisces transits your 8th house. The 8th house is the house of transformation associated with Scorpio and Pluto. Water seasons can be strange for fire signs, you might feel watered down, or like your natural vitality somehow boils the vibes of others around you. The beautiful thing about Pisces season is that in general we are all asked to be more understanding with one another and understand we are each on a journey that is both personal and universal. The Sun will conjunct Venus as they both move into Aries on the 20th, bringing you a friendly new dose of vitality and self assurance.

VIRGO

This month’s Aquarius transits will be crossing the sky in your 6th house, the house ruled by Virgo. How is your health directly tied to what you offer others? This time period will ask you how to best prioritize your well-being while also remaining engaged in your community and personal relationships. Find an appropriate balance. If you do, when the sun moves into your sister sign of Pisces on the 20th I expect you will experience karmic rewards from the universe, particularly around the full moon in Virgo on the 27th.

LIBRA

The sun is now in your fellow air sign of Aquarius and as a result you might be feeling more graceful. Aquarius and Libra share a desire for harmony, unity, and equality. How can you use your natural balancing instincts to create more stability in your community? You are kind, loyal and sympathetic—these qualities, when cultivated, are a gift during both Aquarius season and Pisces season (which starts on the 20th). Spend the month envisioning your highest ideals and using your creativity to show love and create large scale beauty.

SCORPIO

This month the sun and many other planets will transit your 4th house. The 4th house is associated with home, family, nurturing, and safety. As these relationally and societally focused planets transit Aquarius, you are being called to analyze what makes you feel safe and what you can do to inspire more communal trust. Mars is transiting your sister sign of Taurus; embody Taurus energy by standing in your truth, particularly when it comes to safety, sensuality, and respect. The sun will enter your fellow water sign of Pisces on the 20th, bringing with it a river of water energy to clear out pain and inspire confidence and compassion.

SAGITTARIUS

This Aquarius season holds great potential for you as the Aquarius stellium transits your 3rd house of intellect, communication, and play. It’s a good time to perhaps lighten up a little. See what new things you can learn about society by observing it. You are also in the middle of a two year transit of the south node through your sign. The south node is associated with past life karma and established soul patterns. We are collectively being asked to embrace our base philosophical stances and transmute them into something more immediate to our senses. What can you find out without somebody telling you? And what truth can you share without questions?

CAPRICORN

This February you are being asked to take a hard look at your foundations. If they are crumbling or unstable, it is likely that you have been building them only to support yourself. The strongest foundations are built with others through trust, and the Aquarius stellium transiting your 2nd house is urging you to focus your intentions not on what you can extract but what you can provide. Air seasons can be difficult for earth signs, as things are quicker to move and harder to pin down. If you are feeling a need for control, be sure to temper it with a kindness towards those who do not have your instinctively high threshold for hard work.

AQUARIUS

Happy you season, Aquarius! If you thought last month’s transits were intense, you might not be ready for this historic transit. Though it may make you uncomfortable, this intense focus of energy in Aquarius is bound to profoundly affect your inner and outer worlds. You are being called to lead from within and with your heart. Try not to second guess yourself. This intense 1st house transit is asking you to look deep inside yourself to find a path forward. Use your dynamic, loving nature to inspire new, more equitable ways of being.

PISCES

This month the sun and many other planets will transit your 12th house. The 12th house is the end of a cycle, the end of an era—it is the place that collects all of our waking experiences over a year or a cycle or a lifetime in order to synthesize them. Much like analysing your dreams, piecing together all these lessons is not easy, and it would probably do you well to rest and meditate for the first half of the month. By the time the sun moves into Pisces on February 20th, you will likely have reached a new level of emotional clarity around what your sweet soul can do to care for yourself and help others. Hopefully you can do it without ignoring or invalidating the depths of feeling you possess.

JAN 2021

Happy Capricorn Season, folks! When many people think of Capricorns they think of repressed workaholics. We can, however, subvert these stereotypes by collectively channeling the sea goat. Healthy Capricorn energy embodies the capacity and the will to enact lasting changes in the physical realm, as well as a (sometimes unnerving) idealism, endless energy, and deep empathy. Capricorn works hard, plays hard, and feels hard.

In mid-December, Saturn and Jupiter both moved into Aquarius after spending two-and-a-half and one-and-a-half years in Capricorn, respectively. Our collective energy is shifting from a focus on personal security and responsibility to collective care. Entering a new year with new Saturn-Jupiter energy might be invigorating for some and a struggle for others; regardless, we will all be experiencing a collective shift in the arenas where we experience restriction, as well as potential. Luckily, on January 6th Mars will move into Taurus from restless Aries, and this double dose of Earth energy will ground us in making the decisions that protect ourselves, those we love, and our communities from harm.

ARIES

The month starts for you with a focus on the big picture. This can feel uncomfortable for Aries, since your focus is so often on right here, right now. The sun will be transiting your tenth house of public image and career. This is an excellent time to make moves to affect real change in the world. Your ruling planet, Mars, will be in fellow fire sign Sagittarius until January 8th. This is potent energy to understand why you do what you do—and then doing it! Create, move the earth, use that compulsive nature and fire to start new projects, and then harness the cardinal Capricorn energy to see them through.

TAURUS

This month starts with a grand trine between the sun in Capricorn, the moon in Virgo, and Taurus on the descendent. For you, lovely Taurus, if you’ve been feeling stuck or stubborn, the 4th is a good day to tune in to yourself and journal about how (or even if) you’d like to be more driven, and how you could work to make your emotional reactions more malleable (but still authentic!). Mars will be transiting your sign starting on the 6th through the end of the month, strengthening the bond between your ego and your will.

GEMINI

This month the sun will be transiting your eighth house, with a conjunction of the sun and Pluto on January 14th. Earth seasons are not always the easiest time for our free, breezy way of being, but we are all forced to live through them, and this eighth house-Scorpio-Pluto energy is going to make the wind howl through the caves of our subconscious and our deepest desires. Harness this difficult, transformational energy by having the conversations that you’ve been avoiding, either with yourself (twin-to-twin) or the people with whom you share deep soulful connections.

CANCER

This month the sun will spend 20 days transiting Capricorn, your sister sign. The Cancer-Capricorn axis concerns dependence vs. independence, or perhaps emotional vs. structural support—Cancer will fish for you; Capricorn will teach you how to fish. Both have their value. We all need support sometimes, but this season might be about breaking unhealthy patterns where you are providing too much support, without setting parameters that teach your loved ones to nurture themselves. The new moon on January 13th is a good time to do what you can to let go of these patterns and set intentions for more sustainable ways of showing love.

LEO

You are bound to feel the large shift in energy that is happening after the great conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius last month. These planets are foils for one another, the former about our boundless potential, the latter about discipline. Likewise, Leo and Aquarius are opposite (or sister) signs, an axis of individual vs. collective, or ego vs. superego. Finding the way to harness your obvious, brighter-than-the-sun individuality within this 2.5 year cycle of societal focus on the collective might be difficult, but it will be worth it. The full moon on the 28th will be a good opportunity to take time to recognize any toxic ego needs and release them in the name of what you can provide: true love, humility, and leadership.

VIRGO

This month the sun will spend most of its time in Capricorn, your fellow earth sign. Being in a season that shares an element with our sun sign is generally beneficial, and this month the sun will transit your fifth house of creativity and romance. If you’ve felt afflicted lately (who hasn't?) it might help to let your conscious mind breathe. There is a way to be of service to others and hardworking without sacrificing too much fun, romance, or creativity. Give yourself moments to feel shiny, to rest, and to seek pleasure.

LIBRA

Venus, your ruling planet, will be in Sagittarius and transiting your third house of intellect and communication for the first ten days of the month. The third house is ruled by your fellow air sign, Gemini, and is an arena of somewhat scattered, loose, impressionable energy. This Sagittarius/Venus energy transiting this house might find your energy particularly scattered when it comes to love and relationships. The sun will be transiting your fourth house of home and security during Capricorn season, and then move into your fifth house when Aquarius season starts. This whole month is a good time to go inward, investigate your emotional needs, and then invest in deep, loyal connections.

SCORPIO

Where your fixed water meets cardinal earth, it can feel like a meteor disturbing the still surface of a lake. The best option is to ride these ripples and waves, to recognize that your feminine receptive nature can’t be in control at all times, and to take the blows and transform that energy. Pluto, your ruling planet (and planet of transformation), will conjunct the sun on January 14th in your third house. Has your communication or intellect been suffering? Transform it. Is it solid? Transform it still. There is always room to explore further depths of yourself.

SAGITTARIUS

Venus will finish its transit through your sign over the course of the first ten days of the month, bringing love and relationships to the forefront of your day-to-day experience. Sagittarius can sometimes get a bad rap for how they operate in relationships, but your bluntness and dedication to personal freedom (when mediated) are core strengths that keep you from living in other people’s bullshit. However, learning temperance in these habits and desires during Capricorn season could lead to building better relationship foundations. Jupiter (your ruling planet) recently moved into Aquarius, another freedom-loving sign, but one with a focus on collective goals. How can you apply your philosophical bent towards knowing and understanding what it is to be free in the real world?

CAPRICORN

Happy you season, you beautiful, hard-working hedonists! The sun is transiting your sign this month, and it is a most auspicious time to fully step into your truth and live in accordance with your best plans, as well as impulses. Be discerning, keep your wits about you, and protect your heart. Saturn and Jupiter have both been transiting your sun for the last 2.5 and 1.5 years respectively, and you might be feeling less integrated into the community and more inwardly focused. Venus will enter your sign on January 8th, indicating now is a good opportunity to take a few weeks to focus on love and other personal relationships, as well as beauty and rest.

AQUARIUS

You are sure to be feeling a burst of potential now that Jupiter has entered your sign. The flip side, of course, is that Saturn has also entered your sign. Just when you are feeling like people are finally on the same page as you in terms of humanitarian goals and collective care, the environment will impose blockages that you (we!) must overcome. The sun will move into your sign on January 20th, and hopefully by then you will have had time to adjust and plan. You are the fixed air sign, like electricity, or the deep cold of winter that stings your nose. The sun’s movement into your sign is like a jolt to this electric nature, so use it wisely!

PISCES

The sun will be transiting your 11th and 12th houses this month, indicating the end of a yearlong chapter. As you know, your season will begin later next month. Like birthdays themselves, entering the month where the sun transits our sun sign is an opportunity to be reborn, to shed the old, and set intentions for the new. The recent great conjunction of Saturn and Jupiter is bound to be having lasting effects on your subconscious as it transits your twelfth house (the house associated with Pisces). You may not understand clearly the changing flow of how you relate to society, and will benefit greatly from trusting your naturally strong intuition.
